Practice Policies
- Please be on time for practice with all your needed equipment.
- Parents please do not talk to the coaches while they are coaching. They need to be paying attention to the kids in the water.
- Please do not be talking to your kids while they are practicing. The coaches need their attention.
- Please do not allow your child to play in the pool or the baby pool during swim practice.
- Your swimmer must be able to swim a length of the pool UNASSISTED, in a minute or less, in order to qualify as a 6 & Under. If your swimmer is unable to complete a lap unassisted, they will be considered a ½ lapper and will start practice May 18th. Please understand this is due primarily to safety concerns. Also, please know that your child can be moved up with improvement. Coaches will assess your swimmer’s ability the first week of practice if you are unsure of their ability. If you know they cannot swim a lap unassisted, please save them the disappointment and bring them Monday, May 18th to start practice.
- Practice will not be called because of rain. For ages 10 and younger, if lightning is detected within 10 miles of the pool within 15 minutes of practice starting, it will be cancelled. For 11 and up, lightning detected up to 15 minutes after practice begins will necessitate the canceling of practice.
